Well, I do still have that flag set to weak-link against OpenAL, so I'm not sure why it didn't work...

In the meantime, though, you can create a "Frameworks" folder in your home Library folder, and put the OpenAL.framework in there.

OK, I've added some debugging code, re-enabled weak-linking, and hopefully gotten rid of the beeping in 10.4. http://www.viscerallogic.com/event_horizon/EH0.6.1.tar.gz

It should now log interesting stuff to the system log, such as when trying to load the ships for the shipyard, or leaving a planet. So please send me that in addition to the crash logs. When you open the Console application, select "Open System Log" from the File menu.

ok, it works now for me, the beeping still happens whenever a button is pressed, no problems other than what other people have said, i'll hopefully test it in depth this weekend (three day weekend!!!)

Here's my crash dump. I realized that the school computers were Macs... DUH! It crashes when I leave planets. I have 10.4.2 and will be able to test every time I go to school! w00t!

Processor 933 MKz PowerPC G4
2MB L3 cache

Memory 1GB SDRAM

I get around 170 FPS.

Sweet! They still haven't upgraded to 10.4 here at the university. Sad

Depending on finances, I might get 10.4 in the somewhat near future.
