OK, here it is: Event Horizon 0.4.12. Changes include:

  • Fixed polygon normalization for proper lighting
  • Removed cockpit bars from overhead and 3rd person views
  • Disabled ships are no longer fixed in place, show up grey in info tab
  • Added pause capability

I also changed a few plugin field names: "Launch Style" in weapons is now "LaunchStyle", any "PictureURL" is now "PicturePath", and mission's "End Text" is now "EndText". Some boolean fields in planets were removed: "Missions", "Shipyard", and "Mods". Now simply putting in flag requirements for those areas automatically enables that feature. I think that's all the changes.

Here's the Official Plugin Guide which if you follow should make your plugins compatible with 0.4.12. Hopefully I won't be making any more field name changes, so they shouldn't break, either.

no problems that i can see with this release Very Happy but since i was bored i want to point out that if you have OS 10.3 you can tell it to create an archive of files AND i did that for the event horizon folder, the resulting file was 5.8 MB as opposed to the 10.3 MB download...just thought i would point that out for when the download gets to be really big. it is going to do that right? right? anyone there? (yells) hello!!! (echo: hello!!!, hello!!!, hello!!!)

anyway... im not sure where that came from... well off i go back to reality yet again

Edit: that makes 13 posts... i dont think i'll ever be posting again seeing as how 13 is my lucky number.....ok ok ok im really leaving this time Wink

Hmm, I'm not actually sure what you're referring to. The file EventHorizon0.4.12.tar.gz is 5.8 MB. The .tar file is the 10 MB or so that you mentioned, but the download is the .tar.gz. At least is should be Very Happy

Hehe, I have to restart mine every week or so because the media eject key stops working! Confused Anyway, I'm going back to a 56K modem tomorrow Sad, so I'll be sure to make things as small as possible! Very Happy

Thanks for the flag changes…that should make plugs easier to do.

I'll have to update and expand my plug-in now…

Too make things smaller, try to make a patch (the app only) instead of the rest of the package too.
